really? i thought that was interesting?

So my roommates just started blogs...and they found mine (that I completely forgot I had) and I realized how dumb it was....this is my attempt to make it half as interesting as theirs....let's see how it goes......

At work!

I am chilling at New North, just working, not really doing much... I am super stressed about the abstract that I have due on July 8th! I am working on a research project studying the ancient Maya's use of spectacle for political events. It is pretty interesting but I am really having trouble processing the large volume of information that I am receiving from the books I am reading. It is a subject with which I am not really familiar so I have to do a lot of background work. It has proven to be a difficult ordeal! Sometimes I am not sure whether or not it was worth it! Oh well. I ordered Andrew Bird tickets (he is coming to the Murat Center in Indy) and I got tickets in the 2nd row! :) I am so excited! This Tuesday I am seeing Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band. I am going with my friends Rachel and Rich! It will be awesome! :)

Spooky

My cat is going woah crazy this morning. Last week I brought her to my apartment from my parent's house (where she was an outside cat.) I think she is going a bit stir crazy from being cooped up for so long! I am so excited to finally have a pet of my own! It is a big step into adulthood; coupled with the fact that I just paid my first bills (electric, cable and gas) yesterday, I really feel like a grown up! :)

New Blog!

I had a blog once upon a time, but I forgot the address! So after reading my sister's blog, I decided to start another one. I don't have a lot to write for this first post; I am at work now, and I am just trying to stay awake! This blog, like most others, will serve primarily as a venting tool, and at times a soapbox. At any rate, I hope it is remotely interesting. I would hate for this to read as dull, but we shall see!

So I subscribe to e-mails from Simple Shoes. If you don't know anything about the company they make products like shoes and bags from recycled materials, some of their products are even made with organic materials! I bought a pair of Mary Jane's from the site in May and I love them! They have held up really well, and I wear them all the time. I am contemplating getting this book bag, but I am not sure if my laptop would fit inside of it! It is super cute and they have three other colors as well.

While on the subject of products, I might also add that I have been drinking Naked brand Juice Smoothies non-stop!
